It's been a while but......
I might as well update something here, right?The trip to Taiwan was amazing. I'll have to post the details because it was a very interesting and fun trip. There was one low point when I was completely depressed about my family and crying in a park when The boyfriend and I were approched by Jahovah's witnesses. I'll have to elaborate later.
Here's something that sucks - The boyfriend and I have a neighborhood joint in Tribeca that we frequent - a lot. It's nothing fancy - a family joint. We went there two weeks ago and there was a mouse in the dining room - I thought to myself there is a lot of construction in the area - they've had their doors open in the summer - it can't be them they are a great place!- and I just told the staff quietly what I saw. They didn't really respond to me or give me any kind of break on my bill - but I just went on my merry way. Then last night we stopped in again and the boyfriend noticed a cockroach in the dining room mere inches from his foot. Not cool.
So now I have to find a new joint - with good pie.
